The Serious Sports News Network was conceived in late 2006 by a loving father (of the website, not a human) and an equally loving young… protegé, for lack of a better term. Ever since, this site has been attempting to build an unending reservoir of sports satire pieces – ranging from the harmless, fun-loving brief to the bitingly sarcastic diatribe. Given the relative impossibility of a literally unending reservoir (of anything, not just satire) we’ve ultimately settled for slowly building a pretty big cache. We aim primarily to entertain - should we stumble upon some interesting social commentary or perhaps the occasional hidden message, all the better. You can always email us and tell us how poorly (or how well) we’re doing our job – serioussportsnews@gmail.com. Commenting on individual pieces is always encouraged. Oh, and please try our madlibs!!

Contributors

The Serious Sports News Network is, generally, willing to accept contributions from anyone willing to submit them – as such, we have printed a variety of pieces from a number of different writers. Some are professional, some are amateurs, others are one-time submitters. However, certain special individuals (listed below) are “in our employ,” or at least tried-and-true regular contributors whose work we enjoy and in whose hands we – the management – would trust our lives. Well, not our lives, perhaps, but probably the lives of our pets. Provided they’re relatively easy to take care of, that is.

In any event, we trust them to write funny articles, which is really all we’re planning to use them for at the moment. If you’re interested in knowing just exactly who it was that wrote any particular piece, well… you can click on names here to see pieces written by those people, but if that’s not enough and you’re really burning to know who wrote your favorite satire article, go ahead and email us, and we’ll do our best to address your concerns.

The below list is not exactly a complete collection – it is an approximation of our list of active, regular writers. Again, please feel free to email if it fails to address any of your questions or concerns.
