NFL season to climax today with Pro Bowl
HONOLULU, HI — The 2008-09 NFL season will climax this afternoon with the annual playing of the Pro Bowl, the most highly anticipated wonderful afternoon of football in the whole year. The game, which is an annual tradition, is widely regarded as the climax of the NFL season. “If you’re going to watch one game all year, watch the Pro Bowl,” said commissioner Roger Goodell. “The game is electric. The rivalries are intense. The pageantry, the showmanship, it’s amazing.” Goodell said that people should not be fooled by the fact that there’s not a lot of talk about the Pro Bowl in the week leading up to the game. “I wouldn’t be surprised if we had 100 million viewers this week for the Pro Bowl,” Goodell said. “If the American people are like me, they’ll be watching, I can tell you that.”
