Entire Jaguars offense misses bus (barely)

JAcKSONVILLE, FL — The entire Jacksonville Jaguars offense, led by quarterback David Garrard, missed the team bus back to the hotel where they stay the night before games, according to reports.

“We looked out the window of the bus, and we were like, ‘Come on guys, we’re going to leave, hustle up,’” said Jacksonville head coach Jack Del Rio. “But they were just sauntering along.”

Onlookers said the scene was weird.

“It was almost like they wanted to miss the bus,” said Jacksonville DT John Henderson. “They were moving so slowly. At one point MJD fell down and got hurt and it took like eight seconds for them to realize it. At another point, DG (Garrard) just stopped and stood there for like three or four seconds, almost like he forgot what he was doing.”

In the end, the offense almost made the bus.

“I thought they were going to get there,” Del Rio said. “I thought they were going to make it up until the moment that they didn’t make it. It really looked like they wanted to get there, but they have to follow David, and when he just decided that he didn’t care if they made it or not, the momentum sort of died a bit. It’s a shame, too. It would have been nice to have them on board for the ride.”

It’s going to be tough for this sport to sweep any nations, but it’s still pretty frickin’ cool!
