LOS ANGELES, CA — Kari Simmons, wife of ESPN’s Bill Simmons, reportedly hasn’t read any of his columns in years. The revelation came about at a Tuesday night dinner at the Simmons residence, where Bill started talking about the story he told about Bish in his recent NBA draft column. Kari Simmons, known in some circles as the Sports Gal, interrupted to ask if this was the story where Bish compares Chris Paul to Danny Aiello’s character Sal in the Spike Lee joint poll-520.php”>Do The Right Thing. Bill Simmons was incredulous, and informed Kari that the column had been written over two years ago. A large fight ensued, but no lasting damage to the Simmons’ marriage occurred, as Bill became nostalgic about the column in question, stating it was “totally the Rocky III of my NBA draft columns.”
