TO: “Roy Williams and I will be the perfect couple”

DALLAS, TX — Terrell Owens moved quickly Wednesday to squash any doubts that he will be a perfect teammate for wide receiver Roy Williams, whom the Cowboys obtained from the Detroit Lions Tuesday.

“There’s no controversy here,” Owens said to SSNN. “None whatsoever. Roy and I are going to be a great couple, a perfect pairing. There’s plenty of balls to go around. We’ll be like Prince Charles and Princess Diana, just two great people working together in complete harmony.”

Owens said that he even thinks the arrival of Williams will alleviate some of the pressure he’s been feeling on passing routes.

“I see Roy as sort of being the Brad Pitt to my Jennifer Aniston; like I was there first, but he might be even bigger than me in the long run,” Owens said. “But I think it’s a perfect example for how we can grow together and just get closer and closer with time.”

Owens said he also expects to become fast friends with Williams.

“I think we’ll be like Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie, sort of,” he said. “Or like LC and Heidi from the Hills. Two people that you always see out together, who are the greatest, closest friends, and will never separate, where you just see the paparazzi always interested in them, what they’re doing, how much fun they’re having together, that sort of thing.”

When all the chips are down, Owens says, he thinks that he and Roy Williams will be a pairing for the ages.

“We’re going to be like Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown,” he said. “Two people that just came together because sometimes the world creates a couple that is just legendary, and the rest of the world gets to sit back and enjoy it.”

It’s going to be tough for this sport to sweep any nations, but it’s still pretty frickin’ cool!
