PHILADELPHIA, PA — Now with their decades-old championship drought out of the way, Philadelphia fans are prepared to be extra spiteful toward Donovan McNabb this Sunday when the Eagles take on the Seahawks in Seattle.
“I gotta be honest, I’m already furious with him for his performance on Sunday,” said Jimmy ‘Big Jim’ Davis, 43, a construction worker. “Now that the Phillies have closed the deal, I don’t have to worry about them, and I can focus my full attention on being angry with Donovan McNabb. So help me, if that dude throws an incomplete pass, I’m going to go through the frickin’ roof.”
Other Philly residents echoed Davis’ sentiment.
“I’ve already got sports talk radio set up on speed dial,” said Michael ‘Mikey’ D’Antonio, 29, a construction worker. “I’m ready to call them at 7:31 pm and just tear Donovan a new one. I mean, think about how horrible he’ll have played by that time. He’ll surely have broken my heart at least four times by then. I’m done with the Eagles, I can tell you that much; that team sucks and this city will never win.”
David “The Truth” Williams, 37, a construction worker, has a slightly different viewpoint on the whole matter.
“I’m more of a glass is half full sort of guy,” Williams told SSNN. “So instead of just bitching about Donovan, I’ve spent the whole week talking researching who we can potentially trade him for so that we can finally get someone in here who has a chance of winning a title. I mean, it’s ridiculous; he’ll never take us there, and I realize that now. He’s just a giant tease, and it’s heartbreaking for the sports fans in this city, who want so much but never get anything.”
Williams reported that he spent most of his free time this week researching this matter, except for the three hours that he spent downtown at the Phillies’ championship parade.

It’s going to be tough for this sport to sweep any nations, but it’s still pretty frickin’ cool!
