New, foolproof system developed to predict Super Bowl winner

CAMBRIDGE, MA — A group of Harvard grad students, who claimed to have found a foolproof system for predicting football scores, may have experienced some setbacks. The group of young intellects who set up their experiment in a lab, simulated the entire NFL season on an old electronic football set. The results of their test are raising a lot of questions around this foolproof system. The supposed winner of the 2008 Superbowl according to the electric football set was to be the Miami Dolphins, a team that finished with a league worst record of 1-15 in reality. The simulated MVP of the league was projected to be Randall Cunningham, rushing for over 2,000 yards and 30 TDs. This result also presented a rather glaring inaccuracy since Randall Cunningham hasn’t played in the league in over six years.The designers of the system were quick to defend their invention, explaining that there are still a few “kinks” that need to be worked out and that people shouldn’t jump to any rash conclusions about the validity of their electronic football gambling simulator. “We are confident that with a little tweaking, this amazing system that uses only vibrations to propel little plastic football men around a flat board, can one day accurately predict the score of every football game before it is played.”
