Archie Manning buys tickets to wrong game

NEW ORLEANS, LA — Archie Manning is out several thousand dollars after mistakenly buying plane and game tickets for this Sunday’s game in Foxboro, Mass. Between the Patriots and Chargers, instead of the game being played between Manning’s son Eli’s New York Giants and the Gren Bay Packers.

“I guess I am just so used to watching Peyton instead of Eli that I just made a mistake,” Archie Manning said. “Even now that I have realized it, I am still not sure that it’s right. Eli might make the Super Bowl–that’s what you are telling me?!?”

Manning said that he was simply on “auto-pilot” when he paid for the plane tickets and purchased online tickets from a broker for the actual game.

“I really wasn’t even thinking, I was just sort of clicking buttons,” Manning said. “I didn’t even really realize my mistake until you told me.”

Archie Manning has indicated that he’s undecided as to what to do next.

“I’m not really sure what I’m gonna do, to be honest,” Archie Manning said. “I mean, on the one hand, I feel like I should support Eli. On the other hand, I sort of feel like the game in New England is gonna be more fun. I mean, what are the chances that Eli is going to make the Super Bowl, anyway?”

Manning sighed. “Damn, I really wish Peyton wouldn’t have lost.”
