NEW YORK CITY, NY — Raising further questions about his ability as an NBA GM, Isiah Thomas made another controversial move today when he traded center Eddy Curry to the Harlem Globetrotters for Edward “Smooth Moves” Jenkins.

Jenkins is most commonly known for his wacky in-game antics, particularly the throwing of confetti at referees and unsuspecting crowd members. He will join a Knicks team greatly in need of change.

“What this team has really been missing is the child-like ability to laugh and enjoy themselves. And what better way to bring that sort of levity to Madison Square Garden than to bring in a man who specializes in prop-based basketball comedy,” Isiah told reporters at the press conference where the trade was announced. “Never have I seen one man bring such joy with nothing more than a plastic bucket.”

“Smooth Moves” Jenkins, who played his college ball at Michigan State in the 70’s, is excited about the change of scenery. The 54-year-old, 6′4″ power forward reminded critics that he is undefeated – at 563-0 – as a professional basketball player.

“I haven’t lost a game in my professional career – I think that record speaks for itself,” Jenkins insisted. “Just because I’m sporting two surgically repaired knees and early signs of Alzheimer’s doesn’t mean I can’t propel this team to the next level.”
