Iguodala asking Santa for jump shot

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Sixers star Andre Iguodala told reporters today that all he wants for Christmas is a jump shot, and he has written to Santa saying as much. While the versatile swingman has become one of the leagues best defenders and all around versatile threats, Iguodala’s inconsistent jump shot remains of the few holes in his game. “Good for A.I. squared,” Sixers’ coach Maurice Cheeks told SSNN. “Andre has improved every year he’s been with the club. If he adds a jump shot, he’ll easily put himself into the category of elite players.” When the Sixers drafted Iguodala in the 2002 draft lottery, the team hoped Iguodala’s defense and passing skills would help compliment star Allen Iverson. With Iverson’s departure last season, Iguodala has been forced to take on a more offensive-oriented role on the team. “I can drive on anybody,” Iguodala said. “I just need to be able to hit that fifteen-footer if I want to carry this team. Working on it in the gym hasn’t done me any good, so I figure it would make a great Christmas gift. Come on Santa, Andre’s been a good boy this year!”

It’s going to be tough for this sport to sweep any nations, but it’s still pretty frickin’ cool!
