Briles took Baylor job on dare

WACO, TX — University of Houston football Coach Art Briles surprised college football fans and experts alike this week when he decided to leave the Cougars for the head coaching position at Baylor. “People say that Baylor is where coaches go to die,” Briles told SSNN. “I was at a barbeque last week, and an old buddy of mine dared me to take the job. He said nobody can win at Baylor – I’m gonna prove him and everyone else wrong. And then he’ll have to wear his underwear on his head to work… That’s what we do with dares where I grew up.” Baylor, a small private Baptist school, hasn’t had a winning football season in over twelve years. The school’s administration hopes that Briles’ strong Texas ties will help him turn the Bears into a winning football team. “The guy’s got some stones,” Baylor alum and Chicago Bears great Mike Singletary said. “They offered me that job and I laughed at them. I wish Briles the best of luck… Lord knows he’ll need it.”
