Oregon faculty doesn’t understand popular “Dixon Your Mouth” signs

After underachieving last year, Dixon’s stellar play has the star quarterback thinking Heisman, and the Ducks just weeks away from a championship »”>BCS Championship Game berth. As the team continues to succeed, Dennis Dixon mania has spread across the state. Following every Ducks win, students can be heard screaming the unexplained slogan.

“Dixon your mouth, bitch!” Oregon sophomore Brock Hay screamed after the Ducks defeated defending Pac 10 champion USC. “Don’t act like you don’t like it!”

Even the media has caught on to the new craze. Portland’s ABC affiliate profiled the Ducks last week, and asked several students for their take on the meaning of the mysterious sign.

“You’re kidding, right?” U of O senior Lyndsay Tenant responded. “Just think about it for a second.”

2. Before the USC @ Oregon game, someone was selling yellow t-shirts that read: Our Dixon, your Booty. He was saying: “T-shirts! Our Dixon, your Booty. Come on, it’s funny.” I chuckled.
