Lute Olson takes time off to deal with Andy Reid’s sons

TUCSON, AZ — On Sunday, legendary college basketball coach Lute Olson announced that he will be taking time off to deal with the troubled sons of Eagles head coach Andy Reid. “Lute has a heart of gold, and it just killed him to see what Andy was going through,” Arizona assistant Josh Pastner told SSNN. “Lute and Coach Reid aren’t exactly close, but Lute was watching the news and saw the pain Andy was in and knew he had to do something.” Reid’s sons, Garrett and Britt, were each sentenced to jail time on November 1 following several drug arrests during the past year. “While I continue to ask the media and fans for privacy during this ordeal, I appreciate and welcome the help Coach Olson has offered,” Reid said through a spokesperson. It is not exactly clear in what capacity Olson will provide assistance, but the Coach known as the “Silver Fox” has a long reputation of aiding troubled youths, stemming from his 35+ years coaching the likes of Gilbert Arenas, Tom Tolbert and Brian “Bison Dele” Williams.
