Youkilis blasts anti-semitism as the reason for demotion
DENVER, CO — Boston Red Sox first baseman Kevin Youkilis is in talks with the Anti-Defamation League about a possible lawsuit against his employer, after he was informed that he will not start for the Red Sox on Saturday night’s game. “What else could it be, besides anti-Semitism?” Youkilis asked. “I’m hitting better right now than I ever have in my life, and they’re going to play the big Catholic guy instead of me? I mean, I know we’re in Colorado, but come on.” Youkilis said he knew firmly who to blame within the organization—general manager Theo Epstein. “That Jew-hater has been after me since I got here,” Youkilis continued. “He always says stuff like ‘Matzah is gross,’ and ‘Nice beard, Moses.’” Epstein was unable to respond to the comments, as he was attending his niece Esther’s bat mitzvah.
