“KG talks about championships all the time, man,” Pierce said. “It’s a little annoying, to be honest. I mean, yeah, it’s great to give an interview with the media once in awhile about wanting a championship – but I feel like he really means it.”

Pierce said that Garnett and Allen’s propensity to have extremely hard workouts that include sweating, running, and exercise may backfire on the team.

“Look, there is a chance we’ll win a championship in 2008, and that’s all well and good,” Pierce said. “But how much am I going to enjoy a championship next June, if I die of exhaustion in March?”
