ALEXANDRIA, VA — Hollye Rawlins thought it would be nice to spend some quality time with her husband Dave Wednesday, so she offered to get ready a bit early and commute in to work together.

However, her plan went horribly awry when Dave chose to spend the entire bus ride lamenting the issues his fantasy football team was facing, primarily on the waiver wire.

“See, this week was enormous for the waiver wire,” Dave told Hollye during a particularly excruciating portion of the conversation. “There was this dude, Jesse Chatman, that everyone wanted. I didn’t get him. I didn’t get the defense I wanted. I told Chad [Montana, Dave's co-owner], ‘This is why our team sucks, because we’re not getting any good players, and other teams are getting good players.’”

The problem arose, Dave said, because his team scored “a bunch of points in the first few weeks of the season,” so they had a lead in the points standings, which are used to determine waiver priority.

“I don’t know what to do,” Dave said. “I just don’t know what to do.”

Hollye, for her part, had several ideas of what Dave ought to do, none of which are printable (thanks to SSNN’s strict sense of decorum.)
