Durant strength improving by leaps and bounds
SEATTLE, WA — Kevin Durant bench-pressed 135 pounds eight times Tuesday, the culmination of a mass-building workout that the Sonics asked him to commit to prior to the season. “I feel good. I feel like I could have done ten reps,” Durant said. “No need to push it, though – you meet your goals and you move on.” Durant was embarrassed at the NBA’s minicamp when he was unable to lift 185 pounds even one time. “I feel like I could probably put up 165 right now,” Durant said. “And that’s after only three months of training. So who’s embarrassed now?”
