Berman proclaims latest nickname best of year

BRISTOL, CT — Chris Berman was allegedly “unbearable to be around” Tuesday after coming up with what he deemed the “Nickname of the Year.” The nickname was Joba “the Hut” Chamberlain, and it debuted during last Sunday’s Top Ten plays.

“I’m getting ready to say Joba Chamberlain, and all of a sudden ‘The Hut’ popped out,” Berman said. “That’s usually how it happens, it just comes to me.”

“I received three voicemails, four emails and two SMSes,” said Linda Cohn. “I mean, he knows I am from New York, but still.”

Berman secretly informed SSNN that he had contemplated stopping the ‘Bermanisms’ that have made him one of the most famous and most despised broadcasters in America.

“Yeah, I thought about hanging ‘em up,” he said. “No need to do that now. Joba the Hut?! Ha! I’m baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack backbackbackback back!”
