Papelbon won’t stop asking teammates to “hug it out”
BOSTON, MA — Jonathan Papelbon is wearing out the portable DVD player his sister gave him for Christmas, and wearing out his teammates patience as well. A self proclaimed Entourage freak – “I love Vinny Chase,” he says – Papelbon’s obsession with the HBO comedy is starting to annoy those around him.
“He has asked me no less than 16 times this week to ‘hug it out’,” said Kevin Youkilis. “The other day, when I got pissed and told him to fuck himself, he asked me to hug it out again, by way of apology.”
Papelbon loves several aspects of Entourage, including “how many chicks Vince gets, and how Turtle is always ripping on Drama. Hilarious!” Papelbon has reportedly had his agent attempt to secure a cameo.
If Papelbon gets his small screen shot, Youkilis, for one, won’t be watching. “The most insane thing is that Ari doesn’t even hug it out anymore, really,” Youk said. “He only has the first two seasons on DVD. So he’s annoying, and he’s behind.”
