Young to grace Madden ‘08 cover
NASHVILLE, TN — EA Sports announced Tuesday that Tennessee Titans’ quarterback Vince Young will be on the cover of Madden ‘08. With Young at the helm, the Titans won eight of the last eleven games during his 2006 rookie season. He also led the University of Texas to a national championship in 20005. John Madden, who took a more active role in the game this year, said that Young was the obvious choice. “Vince is so exciting; almost as exciting as Brett Favre,” Madden said. “He’s over there, then he’s over here, you blink and BOOM! – he’s somewhere else, and then BAM! – touchdown.” Young broke the news during a chat with ESPN, saying he was “cautiously optimistic” about the upcoming season. “I just hope I can come back from whatever injury I suffer this year,” Young said. “I’m a young guy with a bright future – I wish I could have avoided the Madden cover, but they said they needed me.”
