Rip in space-time continuum wreaks havoc on ESPN family of networks

BRISTOL, CT — After an unidentified natural disaster that even Bill Walton described as “really trippy,” ESPN Studios was thrown into upheaval by an apparent tear in the fabric of time. Though the cause has yet to be determined, the cosmic event seems to have turned ESPN Classic into the original ESPN, while that station has become ESPN Future. “Aside from the obvious problems for every bookmaker from Caesar’s Palace to Squish-Faced Louie, we’re worried that knowing the outcome of virtually every major sporting event in advance will take some of the charm out of the live events themselves,” said ESPN spokesperson and omnipotent deity Chris Berman. Boomer and the other powers-that-be at the self-anointed “Worldwide Leader in Sports” are in the process of assembling a Space-Time Expert Team to attempt a reversal of the station snafu. Madeleine L’Engle and Dr. Emmett Brown have already committed, while Leonard Nimoy is reportedly holding out for more cash.
