DALLAS — Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones sees another NFL team in trouble, and he wants them to know he’s willing to help. A source close to the Cowboys reports that Jones offered to do all interviews for the San Diego Chargers head coaching vacancy. “There’s something about a six-hour long interview that really gets Jerry going,” the souce said. “Everyone has that friend who downs a couple drinks and starts telling you about his foot fetish. Well, Jerry is that guy, only with interviews; I haven’t seen him this excited since his last facelift.” The source added that even though Jones has already interviewed many of the Chargers head coaching candidates, he will gladly interview them again. The Cowboys’ head honcho also is reportedly willing to discuss an arrangement whereby the recently-hired Wade Phillips is returned to San Diego in exchange for a sack of potatoes and inside information on Shawne Merriman’s nutritional regimen.
