BROOKLYN, N.Y.—Mike Tyson has opened a State Farm International Equity Fund Class B mutual fund account, and is depositing $50/month as he begins to build a savings for the future. “I met with my investment advisers, and they indicated that doing some long-term planning was in my best interests,” Tyson said. “This whole compounding interest thing really offers an opportunity.” Tyson chose State Farm because there is no minimum investment. The $50 will not be directly debited, as Tyson is not convinced that his incoming revenue will allow him to make the payment on the same date each month. “I’m not really liquid these days, so I need a little flexibility,” he said.
