Isiah wants credit for Nuggets

NEW YORK, NY — Claiming he “was the one who came up with the idea of fielding a team that would need three basketballs to get the shots they want,” Isiah Thomas demanded “kudos” for the Allen Iverson trade and the current makeup of the Denver team. “If I hadn’t traded for Jamal Crawford and Steve Francis to play alongside Stephon Marbury, there’s no way the Nuggets would have had the idea to pair ‘Melo with A.I.,” the Knicks’ embattled head-of-everything proclaimed in a phone interview Monday. “It’s ridiculous for the NBA to ignore my contributions to the situation.” Thomas refused to accept that his team’s general lack of success might have been a deterrent to the A.I. trade, if anything.
