FT Cruisers eliminated from JJCFL playoffs

JACKSONVILLE, FL — In a crushing blow, the Jacksonville Jaguars Clubhouse Fantasy League playoffs will resume in Week 16 without the FT Cruisers, who were eliminated in excruciating 101.89 - 99.47 fashion this weekend.

The FT Cruisers made a late lineup change, going with Fred Taylor as RB1, moving Larry Johnson to FLEX, and benching LaDainian Tomlinson. The selection of Taylor instead of Tomlinson likely cost the Cruisers the game, as Tomlinson put up 32.4 fantasy points, and Taylor scored just 3.7 before leaving due to injury.

“It’s hard to pinpoint one cause of our defeat,” said team owner and GM Fred Taylor, from the Jacksonville training facility Monday. “If LJ gets in the end zone, we win. End of story.”

Taylor had not been planning on starting himself, seeing as he was listed as questionable all week. But, when he was given clearance to go on Sunday morning, he went and made a last second lineup move using the wireless internet that he had asked the team to install in the locker room. “This is why we have that,” said Taylor. “You gotta be lean. Sometimes it works out, sometimes you wait for next year.
